Christopher Riggs - electric guitar
Matt Endahl - fender rhodes
Originally released by Holy Cheever Church Records in 2009 (HCC 027). Lifetones is a duo project of Christopher Riggs and Matt Endahl. All the sounds you hear are made by Riggs' electric guitar and Endahl's Fender Rhodes electric piano.
"It sounds like [Riggs is] torturing a violin through a telephone line. It's incredible. Endahl adds rhythmic punches of Rhodes that eventually morph into hazy high-pitched sprinkles, working as the perfect countermeasure to Riggs' hell." -Digitalis Industries
"In the ever expanding universe of Chris Riggs ... this new project ... is one of the brightest stars." -Impose Magazine
To date, two recordings have been released. Lifetones has given only one live performance, an opening set for Caroliner Rainbow Odure Curl Occupying the Cakebox in Sept. 2010.
Stay tuned to Sound Mansion Recordings for the reissue of the second Lifetones release, Quivering Mass.
