Robogod is an improvised piece for amplified piano. I have said before how sensitive this particular amplified system is: Robogod is a radical expression of it. During the opening and closing movements, I was standing at the piano; during the long middle movement, I was sitting on the bench, transfixed by what was happening. Somehow the position of my body in the space could effect the tones that the amp generated. The piece ends when the contact mic started to short circuit. Other than sitting/standing, I had almost nothing to do with how this piece ran its course. As always, no digital or analog effects of any kind were used, during the performance or post-production phases.
